The world in which we live today where stress is the most common thing, we all encounter every day is one of the reasons for the surge in psychological problems. As we all are aware of the fact that we are currently under a pandemic situation in which what is going to happen next is the biggest dilemma since no vaccine or treatment is available. Every human being all over the world has been affected by this directly or indirectly. The increased rate of depression, suicide, and many other problems are serious issues that should be taken into account.

Not only because of this pandemic, but people all over the world many times in their lives also faces a traumatic situation that affects their lives to a great extent. Some overcome that situation easily but for some, that situation leaves a mark on them for the rest of their life. The psychological term for the latter is POST TRAUMATIC STRESS DISORDER (PTSD). PTSD is a severe anxiety disorder characterized by symptoms of anxiety and avoidance behavior; this disorder results from a stressful event. PTSD is commonly typified by intense fear, flashbacks, and nightmares. People suffering from PTSD could be helped to cope better with trauma.

Here are some ways to ease the stress:

◆Talk to someone openly about your feelings, no matter how difficult this may be.
◆Spend time with family and friends, enjoy with them.
◆Do not hold yourself responsible for the event and avoid reliving that particular incident.
◆Continue your daily life activities, routines, work, rest, relax, and exercise.

If self-help strategies are not helping and you are not able to deal with it, seek professional help.
